Doug Salati is the illustrator of IN A SMALL KINGDOM by Tomie dePaola and LAWRENCE IN THE FALL by Matthew Farina, which received an Ezra Jack Keats Honor Award. HOT DOG is his debut picture book as author and illustrator. He was a 2015 recipient of the The Sendak Fellowship and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
